I am mostly at odds with opinions expressed in this blog but find the exchange of ideas stimulating. I do try to take the "other side" into consideration - but at the age of eighty my mind is made up so  "don't confuse me with the facts."  

Debate, discussion, and information are vital to international understanding.  In that regard I welcome this blog.

I am disturbed by the "change" coming from our new administration.  I subscribe to the promises of our founders.  With some notable exceptions the U.S.A. has been on the right path all along.  Let's not veer to the left.

Religion, politics, ethnicity aside, can't we be friends?
