Professional Experience

Abe March began his business career with the Computing Sciences Division of IBM's Service Bureau where he held positions as Manager of Administration and Operations Analyst.

Deciding to strike out on his own, he then became an independent distributor for an international cosmetic company where, having achieved top distributor status, was elevated to a corporate post with the responsibility for sales development and product market management.  In his capacity as Vice President of Sales, he worked in Canada and Greece.  He was further promoted to the post of Managing Director for an oil-additive subsidiary company in West Germany.

Abe March then started his own importing business headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon, for the distribution of cosmetics and toiletries to the Middle East markets where he also functioned as a finder of other goods and services sought by Mid-Eastern clients before the Civil War in Lebanon destroyed his successful business enterprise.

Upon returning to the United States, he accepted the post of VP, Sales & Marketing for Universal Wholesalers Exchange, Inc., establishing wholesale-distributors for Rhode Island jewelry manufacturers.  As Consultant and acting President, Abe March assisted in the launching of a new cosmetic company, Derma Sciences Ltd., before joining International Product Exchange Corporation as Vice-President & Director.  In this capacity, he was involved with product marketing and consultation to European & American clients for the distribution of goods in both domestic and foreign markets.

Abe March was asked to develop and launch a program for the direct marketing of Audio Cassette recordings in Canada where he established the Star-Trac Audio Recordings company and functioned as its President until the untimely death of its owner.

Seeking to return to the European Community, Abe March joined Swan Technologies, Inc., a Personal Computer manufacturer, where he established and managed their export department.  He subsequently performed the market analysis to open their European subsidiary in West Germany and was appointed Managing Director of this new entity.  The price war within the PC industry and the depressed economy both in Europe and in the USA compelled the mother company to close its European operations to preserve capital and to survive in its own depressed market.

Abe March returned to the USA and was employed as the North American Procurement Manager for Stork, N.V., supporting a fleet of 1200 Fokker Aircraft.  He held this post until his retirement in 2001.

He now resides in Germany.
